A personal note from the DeafBlind Potter: When I made this plate, I wasn't trying to make something perfect. I was trying to make something honest.
As the DeafBlind Potter, I had to figure out a process I could trust. Something that allowed me to glaze the inside of the piece, making it safe to use, and still stay true to the story God was teaching me.
This plate is a reminder that you don't have to have everything perfect to keep going with God's help.
When you use this plate, my hope is simple: that you remember you can live beyond your challenges... even when life isn't perfect. It can still be just enough to keep going today.
ABOUT THE PLATE:
- This is a handcrafted pottery dessert plate, that is one of a kind.
- Exterior: Red clay body (a natural, unglazed exterior)
- Interior: Food safe glazed interior (off-white glazing that flows over the rim)
- Size: 8" wide x 1" depth
- Features: Three rings carved into the plate symbolizing: Joy, Perseverance and Character.
- This is a limited run item. I will not likely ever use this style of clay again. Once it is gone, it is gone forever. This dessert plate represented a specific season of my life and the lessons God taught me through it.
