The DeafBlind Potter Hope Cross is more than an ornament, it is a story of redemption shaped in clay. Each cross begins as a simple slab of white clay. I cut the shape by hand, press in texture with wooden tools, brush on brown underglaze to reveal the details, carve the three lines of Romans 5:3–4, add a hole for hanging, and sign the back. No two crosses are ever the same, each one carries its own character, marks, and meaning.
The three carved lines represent the journey God walked me through as a DeafBlind man:
• Joy in the middle of suffering
• Perseverance when life felt impossible
• Character shaped through trials
And all of these lead to one truth: Hope.
This Scripture, Romans 5:3–4, became the lifeline that saved my life when I reached my breaking point at nineteen. The Hope Cross carries that message so you can hold onto the same promise: God is still shaping you, even in the hardest seasons of your life.
Handmade. Prayed over. Created with purpose.
May this Hope Cross remind you that no matter how dark life becomes, Jesus is still your light, your strength, and your hope.
Go live beyond your challenges, my friends.
